About

Randi Ruddy_edited.jpg

My Story

My name is Cam Jackson, founder of Bluebonnet Recovery. My life changed profoundly when I found sobriety and purpose after overcoming years of alcohol addiction.

My recovery taught me gratitude, humility, and compassion—driving me to dedicate my life to empowering others on their own recovery journeys.

 What I Do

I lead Bluebonnet Recovery, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing more than just sobriety.

We offer personalized recovery coaching, meaningful employment opportunities, life-skills training, and comprehensive support programs designed to transform lives by giving clients a real sense of purpose, dignity, and lasting success.

Why Bluebonnet Recovery

Not Just Sobriety—A Reason to Stay That Way

At Bluebonnet Recovery, we do more than help people get sober. We help them build a life they never imagined was possible.
Most programs stop at getting someone clean. We start there. Because without purpose, sobriety doesn’t stick.

Without hope, relapse returns. And without opportunity, even the strongest recovery can stall. That’s why Bluebonnet was built—to fill the gap no one else does.

A Different Kind of Recovery

We know what it feels like to be written off. To be seen as a lost cause. Our founder lived it. That’s why every program we run is grounded in dignity, purpose, and possibility. We don’t just want people sober—we want them thriving.

At Bluebonnet, clients are treated like future leaders, not former addicts. We offer access to career training, employer connections, volunteer opportunities, and real-world pathways to rebuild a life with meaning. We exist for the ones who’ve been told they don’t matter. And we’re here to prove that they do.

What Makes Us Different?

Built by People in Recovery

This isn’t theory. It’s personal. Our founder, board, and partners include people who’ve walked through hell and come out the other side. We get it—because we’ve lived it.

Connection to Employers & Community

We actively partner with local businesses to place recovering individuals in roles that give them structure, pride, and a paycheck.

Purpose-Driven Programs

From mentorship to job placement, every step is designed to give our clients a reason to keep going, not just a rulebook to follow.

Emotional and Practical Recovery

We don’t just heal the body. We restore hope, identity, and direction. Because sobriety is just the beginning.
